TRO OPENS 130 TEMPORARY HOUSES IN UNNAPPULAVU.

TRO is executing the temporary house constructions for the benefit of people affected by the tsunami wave in Mullaitivu.

On the 8th march 2005, one hundred and thirty temporary houses in the village of Unnappulavu were handed over to the affected

People. The people who received these houses were living under crowded conditions in Mulliyavalai Vidyananda college. TRO also donated food provisions, cooking utensils, bedding mattresses and Rs.1,000 per family .

Many TRO officials and members of the public observed this hand over.

TRO OPENS A BOAT BUILDING YARD.

In Parathipuram, Kilinochchi, TRO and Marine Multi services have jointly established a boat Building yard. This project was funded by the Denmark branch of TRO Projects employment for the victims of the tsunami disaster.

Mr.Yohan of Education Skill Development Centre (E.S.D.C.) lit the ceremonial lamp to this project at 11 a.m on 07.03.2005. Tamil Ealam flag was hoisted by Mr.Vinayagam of the Political wing of LTTE.

Mr.Anandan from TRO in Denmark and Mr.Regan, Executive officer, TRO in Kilinochchi also took part in this ceremony.

Speeches were given by.

Mr.Yohan, Mr.Kuperan, Mr.Regan, Mr.Anandan and Mr.Vinayagam.

Tsunami Relief Executive, Mr.Winson and Mr.Satheesh and Mr.Jegan of the TRO Media Unit and many members of the public attended this inauguration.

Many TRO officials and members of the public observed this hand over.

Three model resettlement villages opened in Amparai

Three additional temporary model resettlement villages for tsunami affected coastal area residents in Amparai district was ceremonially opened Saturday, civil sources in Amparai said. A community of 30 houses in the 10th division of Karaitivu, a 30 house scheme in Aalaiyadivembu village, and another 70 house community model village in adjoining area of Karaitivu declared open and the ownership certificates awarded to residents at the inauguration events, sources said.
