Tamils Rehabilitation Organization, Jaffna, Promotes Housing Projects.

The TRO Jaffna, actively engaged in promoting several housing and welfare projects announces that the housing projects it implements in collaboration with NECORD in Jaffna are on the verge of completion.

Construction work of these houses at Navanthurai, Sooryaveli and Viloonri is nearing completion and 40% of the work of 125 houses constructed at Vadamaradchchy East, Maruthankerny, Kaddaikadu and Mulliyan has also been completed. In addition housing materials too have been supplied to reconstruct additional 125 houses at Thenmaradchchy region.

Further, a road of one and a half km length has been constructed at Navakeeri, Puttur and a wheel chair has been donated to Mr. Rajiv on 23.03.2004 under their welfare project. Preschool teachers in the Thenmaradchchy educational zone too are undergoing training every Saturday and Sunday under the supervision of the zonal coordinator under the same project.

இந்திய இழுவைப்படகொன்றின் மூலம் தமிழகத்திலிருந்து தலைமன்னார் நோக்கி வந்துகொண்டிருந்த 23 ஈழத்தழிழ் அகதிகள் தலைமன்னார் சிறிலங்கா கடற்படையினரால் கைது செய்யப்பட்டதாக சிறிலங்கா படை வட்டாரங்கள் தெரிவித்துள்ளன.

இச்சம்பவம் கடந்த செவ்வாய்க்கிழமை தலைமன்னார் உறுமலைக் கடற்பரப்பில் இடம்பெற்றுள்ளது. இந்திய இழுவைப்படகிற்கு பணம் செலுத்தியே இவர்கள் தாயகம் நோக்கி வந்ததாக தெரிவித்துள்ளனர்.

இவ்வாறு வந்தவர்களில் 6 சிறுவர்கள், 5 பெண்கள், 12 ஆண்கள், அடங்குவதாகவும் இவர்களும், இவர்கள் கொண்டுவந்த உடமைகளும் கடற்படையினரால் தலைமன்னார் சிறிலங்கா காவல்துறையினரிடம் ஒப்படைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளதாகவும், தலைமன்னார் சிறிலங்கா காவல்துறையினர் மேலதிக விசாரணைகளை மேற்கொண்டு வருவதாகவும் தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
