Thai army completes de-mining training in Kilinochchi

A ten member team of the Royal Thai Army Thursday completed a three week special training in de-mining equipment handling for forty five personnel of the Humanitarian De-mining Unit of the Tamil Rehabilitation Organisation (TRO) in Kilinochchi. The Royal Thai army team leader Lt. Col. Suchart presented certificates to the HDU personnel who took part in the special training program.

Addressing the function to mark the completion of the training program in Kilinochchi Thursday, Mr. K. P Reggie, head of the TRO, said, “This program is not only about training in de-mining but it is a bridge that has brought together our people and the people of Thailand”.
Director of the HDU, Mr. S. Parani, Deputy Head of the TRO, Mr. S. Iniyavan, and the Mr. Kazuhiro Kaneko Head of satellite office of the UNHCR in Vanni took part in the function.

தமிழர் புனர்வாழ்வுக்கழகத்தின் கீழ் இயங்குகின்ற மனிதநேயக் கண்ணிவெடியகற்றும் பிரிவினர் 45 உறுப்பினர்கள் தமது மூன்று வார காலப் பயிற்சியை இன்று நிறைவு செய்துள்ளனர்.
கடந்த மூன்றுவார காலமாக இப்பயிற்சியை தாய்லாந்து இராணுவத்தின் லெப் கேணல் சுச்சாட் தலைமையில் 10 பேர் வழங்கியுள்ளனர்.
இன்றைய இப்பயிற்சி நிறைவில் தமிழர் புனர் வாழ்வுக்கழக நிறைவேற்றுப் பணிப்பாளர் கே.பி. றெஜி, துணைப்பொறுப்பாளர் எஸ். இனியவன் மனிதநேயக் கண்ணிவெடியகற்றும் பிரிவு இணைப்பாளர் எஸ். பரணி UNHCR வன்னிப் பிரதிநிதி கசுகிரோ கனிக்கோ ஆகியோர் பங்கு பற்றினர்.
இப்பயிற்சியை முடித்துக்கொண்ட பயிற்சியாளர்களுக்கு லெப் கேணல் சுச்சாட் சான்றிதழ்கழை வழங்கினார். தாய்லாந்து பயிற்சியாளர்களுக்கு தமிழர் புனர் வாழ்வுக்கழக நிறைவேற்றுப் பணிப்பாளரால் நினைவுப்பரிசு வழங்கப்பட்டது. தாய்லாந்து இராணுவத்தின் லெப்ரினன்ட் சுசாட் தமிழர்புனர்வாழ்வுக் கழகப் பணிப்பாளருக்கும் நினைவுப் பரிசை வழங்கியிருந்தார்.
